Submissions open for Actors, Singers and Dancers to join the award-winning
Caryl Crane Youth Theatre 2026-2027 Competition Team!

Join the national award-winning team for the 2026 -2027 Season and share
your love of theatre with the WORLD!

Seeking 24-30 students, ages 10-18 to participate in 3 national musical
theatre festivals in winter 2026.


CARYL CRANE YOUTH THEATRE 2026-2027 COMPETITION TEAM

COMPETITION TEAM INFO BREAKDOWN

Composed of 24-50 students ages 10 and up who love theatre and want to
share their passion and talent with other students from around the world!
The team will participate in 1-3 musical theatre festivals between January
and March 2027.

THIS YEAR WE ARE CASTING TEAMS BASED ON THE SHOWS WE ARE TAKING.

For example: The 2027 MTCA team will consist only of those actors needed to
fulfill roles in the Ensemble

Production, BLOOD BROTHERS.

THIS YEAR ALL INDIVIDUAL/SPECIALTY CATEGORIES (SOLOS, MONOLOGUES, ETC.)
WILL BE AUDITION ONLY.

The Musical Theatre Competitions of America in Anaheim, CA

February 4-7, 2027

Participation: 15 TOTAL STUDENTS (8 Female, 7 male)

Production: BLOOD BROTHERS

Attendance By Invitation Only  (staff only, no extra chaperones, family
attendees)

Cost: pre-fundraising cost per person - $1,900

Included: rehearsal materials, masterclasses and summer training sessions,
round-trip flight, hotel accommodations for 3 nights, Disney Park and/or
Knotts Berry Farm tickets, all festival activities. This fee includes 1
solo or duet category participation.  Additional Fee will apply to those
chosen to compete in any extra competition categories.

National Performing Arts Festival

February 17 - 21, 2027

Participation: 36 TOTAL STUDENTS

Production: PETER PAN

Ages 10+, chaperones needed and family invited to attend

Cost: pre-fundraising cost per person - $2,195

Included: rehearsal materials, masterclasses and summer training sessions,
round-trip flight, hotel accommodations for 4 nights, Universal Park
Tickets (including Epic Universe), breakfasts and some dinners, all
festival activities. Additional Fee will apply to those chosen to compete
in any extra competition categories (solos, duets, monologues).


The National Youth Theater Experience in Louisville, KY

March 5-7, 2027

Participation: 2 Teams with up to 20 students each.

Production: BLOOD BROTHERS (SR.), FORBIDDEN COMPETITION (JR.)

Ages 10+ (2 teams), chaperones needed and family invited to attend

Cost: pre-fundraising cost per person - approximately $900/person

Included: rehearsal materials, masterclasses and summer training sessions,
round-trip bus transportation, hotel accommodations for 3 nights, all
festival activities. Additional fee will apply to those chosen to compete
in the solo/duet competition.


Team Members

Participation on the 2025-2026 Competition Team involves attending at least
1 of the above festivals. Team members may attend multiple festivals but
must be available to fully commit to each festival rehearsal process.

All team members must participate in ALL fundraising efforts regardless of
the number of festivals they attend. The membership fee to join the
2026-2027 competition team is $115 per student and includes your team
t-shirts and reserved class space at all masterclasses and workshops. No
additional training fees apply.

Confirmation of team acceptance is due by June 1st, 2026

Registration Fee is due June 1st, 2026


Festival Payment Schedule

A down payment of $500 per festival is due by August 1, 2026

Each festival has its own payment calendar that allows us to schedule
payments that fit our team’s fundraising plans. Final Balances will be due
based on the festival between December 1st, 2026 and February 1, 2027.
