Title: Out-of-School-Time Assistant - Summer
Compensation: Part-Time - $15/hour

Dates: June 8 – July 10 (5-week program)
Hours: 10 am- 4 pm
Reports to: Summer Site Manager

Cleveland Play House’s mission is to inspire, stimulate and entertain diverse audiences across Northeast Ohio by producing plays and theatre education programs of the highest professional standards. We believe in the importance of theatre education to the well-being of young people and the community that is its mission to serve. Our educational programs create, strengthen and maintain the bridge between schools, community members, and Cleveland Play House.

Position Overview:
The OST Assistant supports a safe, engaging, and well-organized camp environment for young students. This role is ideal for college students interested in education, youth development, or the arts. Assistants will help ensure smooth daily operations by supporting transitions, supervising students, and assisting lead instructors with classroom activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  *   Monitor hallways and assist with safe, orderly transitions between activities
  *   Support lead instructors during theatre, arts, and classroom activities
  *   Assist with student supervision during snack time and breaks
  *   Help manage and support positive student behavior
  *   Support students with bathroom breaks and general needs
  *   Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
  *   Build positive, respectful relationships with students


Qualifications:

  *   Current college student (preferred)
  *   Experience working with children (preferred)
  *   Reliable, punctual, and attentive
  *   Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
  *   Positive attitude and willingness to engage with young students


Additional Information:
This role requires active supervision, including standing, walking, and engaging with students throughout the day. Assistants play a key role in creating a supportive and fun camp experience for all participants.
