font-family:Times'>The Cleveland State University Dramatic Arts Program will be
hosting a continuing series of workshops featuring an array of theatre professionals
from all disciplines. For our first workshop, on October 20<sup>th</sup>, </span></font><font
face=Times><span style='font-family:Times'>we will welcome the audio director
for Chicago’s Day 1 Studios, Zachary Quarles, who will present <b><span
style='font-weight:bold'>Audire Fabula: The Importance of Audio and Storytelling</span></b>.
Zack is responsible for the overall audio “vision” for every
project that is released through the company, including: <i><span
style='font-style:italic'>X-Men: Legends</span></i>, <i><span style='font-style:
italic'>X-Men: Legends II</span></i>, <i><span style='font-style:italic'>Marvel
Ultimate Alliance</span></i>, <i><span style='font-style:italic'>Soldier of
Fortune II</span></i>, <i><span style='font-style:italic'>Star Trek Elite Force</span></i>,
<i><span style='font-style:italic'>Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast</span></i>, <i><span
style='font-style:italic'>Quake 4</span></i>, and <i><span style='font-style:
italic'>F.E.A.R 360</span></i>. He was nominated for the 2005 NAVGTR
award for “Best Sound Effects” (<i><span style='font-style:italic'>Quake
4</span></i>) and <i><span style='font-style:italic'>F.E.A.R. 360</span></i>
was awarded “Best Use of Sound” in 2006. He is
currently working on <i><span style='font-style:italic'>Fracture</span></i>
with George Lucas’ software division, LucasArts. Theatrically, he
received his BFA in Musical Theatre Performance from Missouri State University and has worked with several theatre companies across the country working as an
actor, music composer, sound designer, and director. He is currently a
member of the Open Cage Ensemble in Chicago where he serves as a core company
member of the board.</span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=3 face=Times><span style='font-size:12.0pt;
font-family:Times'> </span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=3 face=Times><span style='font-size:12.0pt;
font-family:Times'>The workshop will run from <b><span style='font-weight:bold'>10am
to noon</span></b> and is <b><span style='font-weight:bold'>free</span></b> and
open to the public. </span></font></p>
