Crawford, a bartender on the <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">island</st1:PlaceType> of
<st1:PlaceName w:st="on">St. John</st1:PlaceName>, is considering abandoning
his bar for greater adventure when an heiress from <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City
w:st="on">Manhattan</st1:City></st1:place>, Emily Miles wanders into his
establishment. She begins to tell him the story of her life; how she was
left at the altar at the tender age of nineteen by a fiancé who mysteriously
disappeared, how she has spent the last twenty years searching for this man,
and how she now believes that she has found him in the person of <st1:place
w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Duncan</st1:City></st1:place>. <st1:place
w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Duncan</st1:City></st1:place> denies this, but
Emily is certain. To complicate matters, Emily's husband, Raymond, an
investment banker, offers <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Duncan</st1:City></st1:place>
$10,000 to pretend he is the man Emily is looking for in the hopes she will
finally come to some sort of closure over the event. The story continues
to twist and turn right up to the ambiguous conclusion: <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City

Auditions last approximately two hours in the evening. At a "straight
show" audition (that is, a nonmusical show), you will be asked to read
portions of the script. At a musical audition, you may be asked to sing a song
and read from the script. The thing to keep in mind is that everyone is in the
same boat. Our shows are not pre-cast; you have as much chance of getting a
part as anyone else. And believe me, you won't be the only nervous person in
the room!<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p><strong><b><i><font size=2 face="Trebuchet MS"><span style='font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:"Trebuchet MS";font-style:italic'>IMPORTANT: The above information
is only a "guideline." These indicate how auditions tend to run.

- You should come prepared to stay the entire time; some directors will see you
once and tell you when they're done with you, others will have you read
periodically throughout the night. If you are unable to stay the entire time,
inform the director or their assistant when you need to leave so they can be
sure you have a chance to be seen before you leave. If you leave before the
director announces the end of auditions, make sure they know you're leaving so
they don't call your name out later in the evening, expecting you to read
again.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p><strong><b><font size=2 face="Trebuchet MS"><span style='font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:"Trebuchet MS"'>TIME COMMITMENT</span></font></b></strong><font

- Each director will determine the rehearsal schedule, but in general, be
prepared to rehearse Monday through Thursday for a few hours each night
starting at approximately 7:00 PM; and on Sunday at approximately 6:30
PM. Generally speaking, you will be required to rehearse for six to eight
weeks prior to the opening of the show. Please know that the week before
a show opens is very busy and requires your attendance; know what days you will
be unavailable to attend rehearsals when you come to auditions.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
