size=2>The workshop will focus on making sure that the actor provides every
audition with the right material and the confidence and presentation their
talent deserves. Actors who wish to participate should come with a memorized and
prepared three minute monologue.<BR></FONT><STRONG><SPAN
style="FONT-WEIGHT: normal"><BR></SPAN></STRONG></SPAN></H1>

Gordon</B> is Associate Artistic Director of<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>the Cleveland Play House. At the Play
House, he produces FusionFest, helps with season planning and casting, runs the
Playwrights’ Unit, and directs plays. His Play House directing credits include
<I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Dinner with Friends, Proof, Forest City
</I>(world premiere), <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Vincent in Brixton,
Tuesdays with Morrie,</I> <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">A Christmas
Story </I>and this season <I style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">RFK </I>and <I
style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Of Mice and Men. </I>He has also directed in
Cleveland for Dobama Theatre, the Cleveland Shakespeare Festival, and the Beck
Center for the Arts. He recently directed the Arabic premiere of <I
style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Our Town </I>in Cairo. Previously, he served
as Literary Manager and then as Associate Producer of Primary Stages in New
York, where he produced and/or directed countless productions, workshops and
readings of new plays by this country’s leading playwrights. While at Primary
Stages, he also founded the New American Writers Group, which supports the next
generation of playwrights. He has also directed at many other New York theatres,
and has directed and lectured at various universities including Case Western
Reserve University.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>He has received
grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, Theatre Communications Group,
The Jerome Foundation, and AT&T. Productions he produced at Primary Stages
received Obie Awards, Theatre World Awards, and several Drama Desk nominations.
He received the 2004 Northern Ohio Live Award for Excellence in Theatre. He
received his education at the High School of Performing Arts in New York, and
Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. He considers himself a lucky
