<P><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">The</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">IMPROV OLYMPICS</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> for area high school age students will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2008 from 11:30 AM</FONT> <FONT FACE="Tahoma">–</FONT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> 3:30 PM at</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">THE CLEVELAND PLAY HOUSE</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> under the auspices of The Cleveland Play House Education Department, and</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">KULTURE KIDS</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">, a 501 (c) (3) arts and culture organization.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Just like the official Olympic Games, teams receive scores from a judge panel of Cleveland theatre<BR>
professionals. Last year’s judges included Award-winning Director</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Fred Sternfeld</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">, Karamu Theater Actor/Director</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Jimmie Woody</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> and Great Lakes Theatre Festival's</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Lisa Ortenzi</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">. Emcees are from the acclaimed Improv Troupe</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Something Dada</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">! Scores reflect vocal and physical techniques of the actors, as well as creativity and cooperation of the team.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Last year’s Gold Medal was awarded to</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Mayfield High School,</FONT></B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">while</FONT><B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> Lake Catholic High School</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> claimed the Silver and</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Beachwood High School</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> took the Bronze . Wild Card awards went to</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Hathaway Brown School</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">,</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Cleveland Heights High School</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">,</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Cleveland Municipal Schools</FONT></B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">and</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Shaker Heights High School</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">. </FONT></P>
