his convictions about religious freedom when he wrote these words in 1790 in a
letter sent to the Touro Synagogue Congregation of Newport, Rhode Island. As a
tribute to <st1:State w:st="on">Washington</st1:State> and all of our American
Presidents, the Museum will be open on President's Day, Monday, February 18
from 11 am to 5 pm. <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Washington</st1:place></st1:State>'s
correspondence will be re-enacted with a short discussion at 2pm. The day would
not be complete without a slice of (kosher) cherry pie!<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
