in October, 2008. 'Gold Star' is the title that the military gives a family
that has lost someone in active duty. For over two years,
playwright Michael Tisdale has been interviewing families of Marines
who were killed in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on">Iraq</st1:country-region></st1:place>.
Created from the transcripts, <st1:City w:st="on"><b><i><span style='font-weight:
bold;font-style:italic'>Goldstar</span></i></b></st1:City><b><i><span
style='font-weight:bold;font-style:italic'>, <st1:State w:st="on">Ohio</st1:State></span></i>
</b>presents the varied experiences of four <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:State
w:st="on">Ohio</st1:State></st1:place> families as they struggle to accept
what has happened and find the strength to carry on with their own, forever
altered, lives. Written by <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Cleveland</st1:City></st1:place>
native Michael Tisdale, the production will be directed by <st1:PersonName
w:st="on">Andy Paris</st1:PersonName>, a member of the Tectonic Theater Project.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
