drought-stricken Depression-era farm with her father and two brothers, who
have been trying to marry her off. One day, an exciting man named
Starbuck comes to the farm claiming to be a rainmaker. For a fee, he will
make it rain. The family engages his services. He also begins to make romantic
overtures toward Lizzie, who, after some hesitation, falls under his spell --
and, despite the fact that Lizzie knows he is a con man, Starbuck manages
to make Lizzie see herself in a new light.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=3>This romantic comedy was filmed for the silver
screen in 1956 with Burt Lancaster and Katherine Hepburn. A musical adaptation,
"110 in the Shade," played to packed houses on Broadway in 1963 -- and was
revived in New York just last season in an acclaimed production starring Audra
