Celebrate the 70th anniversary of the opening of the Evans Amphitheater with a tour of historic Cain Park, a City Landmark. We will walk the park, see recent improvements and learn about Cain Park’s rich history, starting with its construction using Works Progress Administration funds. Then we’ll visit The Colonnade, dressing rooms, set shop and other areas of the park and go backstage and have our moment in the spotlight as we walk on the Alma Theater stage. We’ll see the crew readying the Evans Amphitheater stage for its rehearsal of THE WIZ. After the tour is over, you’ll have the rare opportunity to stay around and watch the "technical rehearsal" for THE WIZ, where actors and crew work out the logistics of the show, such as set changes, lighting cues, and sound effects.<BR>

Your $5 admission fee will support Friends of Cain Park, a non-profit, volunteer organization whose mission is to preserve and promote Cain Park as a historical, theatrical, artistic and educational resource for Northeast Ohio.<BR>
