theatre as an actor, designer and director. He is a member of the
Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers. In New York City Dr.
Hill has served on the board for the American Playwrights Theatre and on
the Directors Committee at the 13th Street Rep. Dr.
Hill's directing credits include, <SPAN style="font-style: italic;">Noises Off, Life With Father, On The Verge, Marat/Sade, Da</SPAN> and <SPAN style="font-style: italic;">Bus</SPAN> <SPAN style="font-style: italic;">Stop</SPAN>. Dr. Hill is excited to bring this new musical <FONT size="5"><SPAN style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255); font-style: italic;">"SHAPE!"</SPAN></FONT> to
Cleveland and have talented Cleveland performers share in this premier
production.<BR><BR>Musical Director for <SPAN style="font-style: italic; color: rgb(0, 0, 153);">"SHAPE!"</SPAN> Guy T. Wehman has an extensive resume in film, theatre, commercials and the music industry. His film scores include <SPAN style="font-style: italic;">Annie's Way</SPAN> and <SPAN style="font-style: italic;">Look For The Woman. </SPAN> This summer, just prior to beginning rehearsals for <SPAN style="font-style: italic; color: rgb(0, 0, 153);">"SHAPE!"</SPAN> Mr. Wehman will be recording with members of the Indianapolis Symphony. A busy and talented man, we are proud to have him on the team.<BR><BR>Michelle Hujar as choreographer also brings tremendous experience to the show. This is the story of loves and losses among the members of a quaint
neighborhood gym called “Pound-A-Weigh.” The story begins
once-upon-a-recent-time in the land of “Cleve” (Cleveland) where a sad
and frumpy young librarian name Mitzi longs for a life beyond her
mundane job and long lonely nights. Desperate for a social life, she
takes a risk and applies for a job waiting tables at a local
restaurant, only to be told by the manager Sheena that she needs more
“pizzazz” to get the job. Sheena, who is everything Mitzi is not –
fit, lively and shapely – sends Mitzi to sign up at the gym. <BR><BR>And
so begins Mitzi’s transformation and adventure, building a new body and
a new life as she makes friends among the zany, yet loveable characters
who workout at the gym. But Mitzi isn’t the only one at the gym
beginning an exciting new life! There’s Terry, the bumbling headwaiter
from Sheena’s restaurant, with an eye for the boss. There’s Kiki, the
sexy and flamboyant hairdresser, and Luke the pompous yet socially
inept construction worker. And of course there’s the handsome and
charming Eric, who manages the gym. The fun begins as these
body-builders fall in and out of love, while a greedy tycoon plots to
takeover the gym. Add the maintenance man, Mr. Jeske and his
co-worker, Fonda. They can’t stand each other, she’s a widow and he’s
a widower, and the sparks fly hot and often! As the story unfolds we
wonder:<BR><BR>Will Mitzi get more excitement than she bargained for?<BR>Will Sheena and Terry finally hookup?<BR>Will Eric’s longing for Mitzi turn to true romance?<BR>Will Bridget, the ever-efficient receptionist, get Luke to clean up his act?<BR>And, will that wonderful old gym succumb to corporate greed?<BR>These questions, and more, will be answered as the body-builders in <SPAN style="font-style: italic;">SHAPE! </SPAN>sing and dance their way into your heart!<BR></FONT></DIV><BR></DIV>
