<DIV> Main-Course MURDER has been producing mystery dinner theater
plays for 11 years, nine at the current location in the Canton area. We use
actors skilled in improvisational presentation, although our plays are fully
scripted. Our actors wear mics and we have full lighting. Actors should be
comfortable performing out in the audience at times during the show.
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> Actors should be prepared for a long-term
commitment as our plays usually run every Friday night for six months. The new
play will open Oct. 3 and run into March, with several special
performances for corporate Christmas shows in December. Actors will be
permitted to take off a couple of weeks during the run if they would
like to perform in a community theater production, as long as an understudy
acceptable to the company is available.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> We need six actors, three men and three
women, along with understudies for the next production. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Here are the characters descriptions:</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> Quench: Drunk, in the tradition of Foster Brooks.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> Paul: in the tradition of Charles Nelson Reillly or
Paul Lynde, but also able to play a strait man, as
this actor will play multiple roles.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> Marshall: Radio game show host-type role who also will
play as a detective.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> Busty: Typical stock sexy, dumb-blond role, in the
tradition of Carol Wayne.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> Hortense: No particular type, just a good
comedian.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> Amy: Same as Hortense. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> Rehearsals and shows will be in the North Canton
area, so actors should be aware they will have some driving to do if they don't
live in the Canton area. Please don't register for the audition if you are just
curious. If you show up, we will assume you are serious and ready to
accept the role if you are chosen.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> Audition will be one night only, Thursday,
Aug. 21, at 6:00pm. A private audition can be scheduled with the director if you
cannot make the open audition. All interested should call the director, Ingrid
Roth, at: (330)323-8129, or email at <A title=mailto:ingridw70@aol.com
