will be producing a concert featuring its Chorale and Symphony on Thursday,
September 11<sup>th</sup>, 7:00 p.m. at the Avon Lake High School.<span
style='mso-spacerun:yes'> </span>Its purpose is to remember, renew and
ultimately encourage and rejoice in the freedom we share.<span
style='mso-spacerun:yes'> </span>The concert will be a fund-raiser and a time
of raising awareness as the <i style='mso-bidi-font-style:normal'><span
style='font-style:italic;mso-bidi-font-style:normal'>Garden of Empowerment</span></i>
at the High School is unveiled and celebrated.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>
</span>Morten Lauridsen’s <i style='mso-bidi-font-style:normal'><span
style='font-style:italic;mso-bidi-font-style:normal'>Lux Aeterna</span></i>,
portions of Rene Clausen’s <i style='mso-bidi-font-style:normal'><span
style='font-style:italic;mso-bidi-font-style:normal'>Memorial </span></i>and
Mack Wilberg’s <i style='mso-bidi-font-style:normal'><span
style='font-style:italic;mso-bidi-font-style:normal'>Four American Folk Hymns</span></i>
will be performed. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

Lake Key Club and the Avon Lake Kiwanis are proud to sponsor a permanent 9/11
memorial at Avon Lake High School.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'> </span></span>The
main objective of the project is to transform the courtyard into an area that
will serve as a memorial garden for the 9/11 heroes. The artists involved with
this project are Steve Jordan and Cis Ricchiuto – architect Cary Reynolds.

serve as a beacon, an area that is surrounded by history classes and as
students learn about the past they can look out at the courtyard that
memorializes the American spirit of hope & determination, a true <i
style='mso-bidi-font-style:normal'><span style='font-style:italic;mso-bidi-font-style:
normal'>Garden of Empowerment</span></i>. It will also serve as an outdoor
classroom and a place to contemplate and reflect on who we are and what we lost
on that fateful day. At night when people are driving down route 83 there will
be light emanating from the courtyard toward heaven, symbolizing the hope that
our students represent for the future. Its major fundraiser will be a memorial
concert that will take place September 11<sup>th</sup>, 2008, through TrueNorth
Cultural Arts.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'> </span>A fund-raising dinner
will take place before the concert for those who would like to attend.<span
style='mso-spacerun:yes'> </span>Tickets for the Dinner and Concert together
are $25.00; dinner begins at 6:00 p.m., and can be purchased at the high school
