<DIV>The Wake Up and Live Actors Studio, now in its tenth year of featuring
northeastern Ohio playwrights and performers through its "Play Acts"
performances, is pleased to announce that the 2008 performance will take place
at the Cleveland Playhouse's historic Brooks Theater on Sunday, November 9th.
Auditions will be held Monday evening, September 8, for two remaining parts in
"Prime Beef," a one act comedy written by Wake Up and Live's
playwright-in-residence, Gary Webster.</DIV>

<DIV>"Prime Beef" is the story of Diane's misguided effort to raise money for a
local animal shelter by convincing her boyfriend, Jeff, and Jeff's best friend,
Eddie, to take part in a bachelor auction. The auction turns out to be the most
humiliating experience of Eddie's life. . .or does it?</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>We're looking to cast the roles of "Prime Beef's" two lead characters.
Diane is a vivacious young woman in her mid to late 20's who has been trying to
drag Jeff down the aisle to the altar for as long as they've known each other.
Jeff is a confirmed bachelor, also in his mid to late 20's, who is perfectly
happy with his relationship with Diane as it is and is none too happy being
asked to be a "human sacrifice" to help raise money for the animal shelter,
knowing that Diane will make sure the most attractive and wealthiest woman at
the auction won't bid on him. Instead, Diane has tried to rig the auction so
Miss Moneybags will bid on Eddie!</DIV>

<DIV>"Prime Beef" will be directed by Sue Johnson, Wake Up and Live's executive
director, and will be performed as part of the "Play Acts" festival at the
Brooks Theater of the Cleveland Playhouse on Sunday, November 9th, 2008.
Auditions will be held Monday, September 8th, at 19333 Van Aken Boulevard in
