Takes Top
Honors at State Conference<o:p></o:p></span></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">AURORA, OH (Sept. 3, 2008) ---- Ohio Community
Theatre
Association awarded top honors to Aurora Community Theatre for acting,
directing and videography during the statewide group’s annual
conference,
OCTAFest 2008, in Columbus over Labor Day weekend. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Denise Bernstein and Rick Carter directed by
Barbara L.
Rhoades presented an excerpt of last season’s bonus play, “Same Time,
Next
Year.”<span style=""> </span>Rhoades received an Outstanding
Award for directing, Bernstein an Excellence Award for acting and
Carter an Outstanding
Award for the original video that introduced the scene. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">ACT was also recognized with individual and
ensemble acting
awards, as well as for set design, earlier this summer at the regional
competition where “Same Time, Next Year” was selected to move on to the
state
competition .</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The all volunteer cast and crew donated their time
and the
transportation of all costumes, video equipment and stage set,
including a
full-sized piano shell, to help draw attention to ACT’s top quality
productions. <span style=""> </span></p>

stock
