However, only one longer film per filmmaker will be selected. If enough shorts are submitted, one evening could be dedicated to screening only shorts. Any subject matter is welcome. Animations from independent filmmakers are welcome. An evening comprised of a cartoon/short/feature combo is a possibility. The cartoon and short would probably have to come in under 15 minutes each, to be shown with a feature of 30-45 minutes. <o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>

If no online preview is possible, filmmakers should ask how to submit a disc. Filmmakers should state the running times of their films. Filmmakers who want their discs returned should include a stamped, addressed envelope with their submission. <o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>

Films don't have to be strictly "G-rated"--- just not too over the top. If filmmakers submit a film with brief instances of unacceptable material or a too-lengthy running time, they may be asked to submit an edited copy for this event. Filmmakers submitting a rough cut or an incomplete version of their film for preview should disclose, as soon as possible, what they will be adding to the finalized version to avoid surprises on the night of the screening.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>

Filmmakers from </SPAN><st1:State><st1:place><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 13.5pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Modern No. 20'">Ohio</SPAN></st1:place></st1:State><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 13.5pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Modern No. 20'"> and from everywhere are encouraged to offer submissions. Referrals to filmmakers are as welcome as direct submissions.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 13.5pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Modern No. 20'">A two-hour slot for each screening is tentatively scheduled. Preferably, filmmakers should make themselves available for a brief discussion with the audience after the screening of each film. However, if a film is selected, it will be screened whether the filmmaker is present or not.</SPAN></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 13.5pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Modern No. 20'"><o:p></o:p></SPAN> </P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 13.5pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Modern No. 20'">The library administration will pay a fifty dollar ($50.00) honorarium to filmmakers whose films are selected for screening at this particular program. <FONT color=#ff0000>Honorarium for screened films of 15 minutes or less is twenty-five dollars ($25.00).</FONT> Further, while there are no guarantees, library administration is open to purchasing no more than two copies of each film shown during this program. The price per copy must be under $100.00 (pricing films at $99.99 or any other form of gouging is discouraged). Library administration will likely place purchased films into circulation so library patrons may borrow and view them. <o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>
