the Arts Youth Theater presents <i>Treasure Island</i> on the Mackey Main
Stage, October 24 through 26, 2008. Directed by Russ Stich, this
production is freely adapted by Phil Willmott from the classic novel by Robert
Louis Stevenson. With its dastardly plot and motley crew of rogues and
villains, <i>Treasure Island</i> had enthralled audiences of all ages for
decades. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m.

18, from the Beck Center Education Program. “This is a great
script, it's got everything a kid could want – pirates, sword fights,
humor, and more than a few surprises.” commented Stich “But
parents and adults will also enjoy the show as they remember this classic story
from their childhood.” Stich teaches Theater Education classes at
the Beck Center and is an original member of Something Dada Improvisational
Comedy. In addition to teaching and directing, he has been seen in
numerous local productions including <i>Tony and Tina’s Wedding</i> at
Playhouse Square. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
