audiences a taste of her tradition of joining dance and live jazz music.<span style=""> </span>A Cleveland native and now again a resident
she has collaborated, over the last 3 decades, with noted artists like <i style="">Max Roach, Lester Bowie, Olu Dara, Cecil
Taylor, and Don Pullen.</i></div>

dancer with Cleveland's
<i style="">Verb Ballets</i></div>

vocalist and former cast member of <i style="">The
Lion King</i> and <i style="">The Color Purple</i></div>

multi-genre bassist</div>

<div class="MsoNormal">In New York<font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">,</font> <b style="">Dianne
McIntyre</b> directed her <i style="">Sounds in
Motion Company</i> of dancers and musicians and created dance works for
theatre, film and university ensembles and dance companies including <i style="">Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and
Dayton Contemporary Dance Company</i>.<span style="">
</span>In Cleveland her work has been seen at <i style="">Karamu House, Cleveland
Play House, Dancing Wheels, Oberlin
College and Cleveland
Contemporary Dance Theatre</i>.<span style=""> </span>Her
numerous awards, grants and commissions includes the <i style="">Cleveland</i><i style=""> Arts Prize, 3 Bessies (NY Dance and
Performance), 2008 American Dance Festival Distinguish Award for Teaching and 2007
John S. Guggenheim Fellowship (the only Ohio
recipient for that year).</i><span style=""> </span>This event
is supported in part by her Guggenheim Fellowship.</div>
