I read female and feminist as two separate options. I have no knowledge of a <a title="Voltairine de Cleyre" href="/wiki/Voltairine_de_Cleyre">Cleyre</a>, <a title="Margaret Sanger" href="/wiki/Margaret_Sanger">Sanger, or Friedan rule book that says a feminist must be female. To me it's a belief in equality, the key word being belief. I thought I was a feminist, despite being a white male.
