play explains how Hammett all but invented the hardboiled American detective
story and explores the mystery of why he then abandoned it --- and why he

</EM></STRONG>stars Jim Fippin as the private detective on the trail of the
elusive Hammett (played by Dawidziak). Also in the cast are Sara Showman
and Alex J. Nine. Tom Stephan plays the Radio Announcer, and Kent State
University student Jason Davis is the Sound Effects
