Choreographer<BR><BR><BR>The Broadview Heights Spotlights Theater is pleased to
announce its premiere education program musical,<BR><EM>Children of Eden</EM>.
The goal of the program is to give young performers the opportunity to work
alongside<BR>experienced actors in a high-quality theater production. “This is
the perfect choice for our premiere show because it<BR>portrays a phenomenal
story and literally features every member of the cast,” says Tim Anderson,
newly-hired<BR>education director for the Spotlights. “During a time when public
schools’ performing arts programs are being cut,<BR>the Spotlights’ Board of
Trustees unanimously agreed that we should provide a positive, creative outlet
for young<BR>performers.”</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT><BR><FONT face=Arial size=2>The directing
team also includes Deborah Ingersoll as music director and Tia Zingale, a
17-year-old high-school<BR>student, as choreographer. In addition to the cast,
the orchestra also includes student musicians playing alongside<BR>local
professionals. Likewise, student technicians will be responsible for the
behind-the-scenes components.<BR>The show, written by <EM>Wicked</EM> and
<EM>Godspell</EM> composer Stephen Schwartz, retells the first eight chapters of
the Book<BR>of Genesis. With a deeply compelling storyline and family-friendly
message, the show appeals to audiences of all<BR>ages and
religions.</FONT></DIV>
