students with previous theater experience, ages 13 to 18. Former
professional actress <A href="">Harriet DeVeto </A> share her experiences
and insights into the audition process. Emphasis in this class will be
placed on selecting and performing monologues, cold-reading technique,
what to do in a call-back and more. A presentation of student work will
be held at the end of camp. Special exceptions may be made for younger
students with the requisite experience.</DIV>

focus on the understanding of creating a character -- creating a physical
life, voices, understanding given circumstances in the world of the play and

themselves differently than the actor. Students will have the opportunity to
apply these skills through scene work, which will be presented on the final

Music Technique</B> </SPAN>covers the fundamentals of vocal technique,
and is suitable for beginners to intermediate singers. Specific topics include
posture, breathing and support, eliminating muscular tension, resonance, and
diction. Each student will apply these techniques through work on 2 vocal
pieces, a musical theater number and a classical piece. Time is allotted for
group exercises and voluntary solo singing. </SPAN></DIV>
