<p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-layout-grid-align: none"><font size="3"><font face="Times New Roman">Solon Center for the Arts is proud to announce the winners of the <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">1^st Annual SCA Playwriting Competition</i>. <span style="COLOR: black">This competition was created in an effort to give new voice to the youth of North East Ohio. The opportunity gave student’s grades 7 - 12 a chance to submit their own short piece of drama based on the theme of <strong>"Everyday Adventures"</strong>. These pieces, submitted in January, were then considered for potential production in the spring of 2009. The </span>SCA judges have selected a first place, second place and third place winner in addition to an honorable mention. The winners are as follows: <span style="COLOR: black"></span></font></font></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">The first, second and third place winners’ scripts will be presented in the <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">SCA One Act Festival </i>directed by Mr. Larry Nehring on Friday, May 29, 2009 at 7:00 pm on SCA’s Patio. These short student written pieces will be performed by the SCA Spotlight Youth Theater students (grades 5 – 8). A small excerpt of the Honorable Mention winner’s work<i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal"> </i>will also be presented, as a reading, on that same evening. </font></p>
