<P DIR=LTR><SPAN LANG="en-us"><B></B></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"><B><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Calibri"> </FONT></B></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">The Tri-C West Theatre and Dance Department will hold its annual Spring Dance Concert on Friday May 8 at 7:30 pm in the Western Campus Theatre located at 11000 Pleasant Valley Rd. in Parma. The Spring dance concert continues the tradition of exploring many styles and disciplines including, hip-hop, jazz, and modern dance. Audiences will be treated to pieces choreography by Sarah Morrison, Megan Pitcher, Allison Leatherman, and Sarah Carey as well as several student-choreographed pieces.</FONT></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"><B></B></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"><B></B></SPAN></P>

<P DIR=LTR><SPAN LANG="en-us"><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">About the Tri-C West Dance Faculty:</FONT></SPAN></P>
<P DIR=LTR><SPAN LANG="en-us"><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">Sarah Morrison (M.A.) is the founder/director of MorrisonDance and is a 2009 recipient of the Ohio Arts Council Award for Individual Excellence. She began her professional career as a teenager in Atlanta. Morrison relocated to Cleveland upon receiving a scholarship for her choreography to attend Case Western Reserve University. Over the past 15 years, Cleveland has become her home, and the home to MorrisonDance, a company recognized for</FONT></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"><FONT COLOR="#000000" SIZE=2 FACE="Arial"> its unique exploration and presentation of dance. Morrison’s choreography has been seen in Atlanta, Chicago, Italy and Mexico, and has been presented at the Joyce SoHo and Joe’s Pub at Public Theatre in New York City. </FONT></SPAN></P>
<P DIR=LTR><SPAN LANG="en-us"></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">Megan Pitcher is the artistic director of MegLouise Dance, a Cleveland based performance group. Pitcher’s choreography has been presented internationally at Moscow Theater West in Russia and the Junction Arts Festival in Toronto, Canada. Pitcher received her BFA in Dance from Ohio University and supplemented her training at Dance New Amsterdam in New York, Bates Dance Festival and Summer Stages in Maine. </FONT></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"><B></B></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"><B></B></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"><B> </B></SPAN></P>

<P DIR=LTR><SPAN LANG="en-us"></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">Allison Leatherman holds a BS in chemistry with a minor in dance from Belhaven College where she studied ballet and modern dance. She has performed with Tyler Civic Ballet (Tyler, TX), where she was named a soloist in 2001, and with the Belhaven College Dance Ensemble (Jackson, MS). , Alli teaches at various local studios, serves as adjunct dance faculty at Cuyahoga Community College, and performs with MegLouise Dance in Cleveland, OH.</FONT></SPAN></P>
<P DIR=LTR><SPAN LANG="en-us"></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">Sarah Carey</FONT></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">is originally from Rochester, NY. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance from Belhaven College. While living in NYC, she trained and performed as part of the Professional Studies Program at the Limón Institute, studying under master teachers such as Carla Maxwell, Risa Steinberg, Roxanne D’Orleans Juste and Alan Danielson. Sarah has performed works by noted choreographers such as José Limón, Doris Humphrey, Bill Wade (Inlet Dance Theatre), Stephen Wynne, and Randall Flinn (Ad Deum Dance). She performed as a guest artist in the Broadway production of</FONT></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"><I></I></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"><I></I></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"><I> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat</FONT></I></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"></SPAN><SPAN LANG="en-us"><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">. Sarah’s greatest privilege is in teaching students of all ages and witnessing their personal and artistic growth</FONT></SPAN></P>
