to create a performance piece with original words and original music. Students
succeed, sometimes astonishingly, in expressing themselves, while at the same

Students will experience the joy of dance while exploring fundamental movement
concepts. Through creative exercises and active
learning, students will be introduced to basic dance technique from ballet to
modern dance. For those students who desire to continue with dance, this
class will also provide a foundation for further training. The last class
meeting will be open for family and friends to observe their dancers in
