<FONT face=Arial size=3>Maggie the Cat, Brick the tortured son and the cigar chomping Big Daddy are making an their final appearance in North Royalton as the </FONT><A href="http://www.royaltonplayers.com/"><FONT face=Arial color=#003399 size=3>Royalton Players </FONT></A><FONT face=Arial size=3>presents the Tennessee Williams classic "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," </FONT><FONT face=Arial size=3>According to Director <STRONG>Chuck Poliafico</STRONG>, the play is the story of a Southern family in crisis, focusing on the turbulent relationship of a wife and husband, Maggie "The Cat" and Brick Pollitt, and their interaction with his family over the course of a weekend gathering. The gathering is at the family estate in Mississippi, ostensibly to celebrate the birthday of patriarch and tycoon "Big Daddy" Pollitt. </FONT><BR>

<FONT face=Arial size=3>"Maggie the Cat is one of those great literary Southern characters, similar to Scarlet O'Hara," said Poliafico, who is directing his 12th production for the Royalton Players. "Maggie begins the story vulnerable and insecure, but grows stronger with each scene." </FONT><BR>
<FONT face=Arial><FONT size=3><STRONG>Tori MacNair</STRONG>, who was last seen as the ing nue in the Royalton Players production of "Out of Sight Out of Murder" portrays Maggie the Cat. </FONT></FONT><BR>

<FONT face=Arial><FONT size=3><STRONG>Bryan R. Jalovec</STRONG>, who recently appeared in the Strongsville Community Theater production of "Children's Hour," will play Maggie's alcoholic husband, Brick. </FONT></FONT><BR>

<FONT face=Arial size=3>Big Daddy in the show is <STRONG>Gerry Wiess</STRONG>, who was last seen on stage as Kris Kringle in the Huntington Playhouse production of "Miracle on 34th Street." </FONT><BR>

<FONT face=Arial><FONT size=3><STRONG>Mary Manos-Mitchem</STRONG>, who appeared in the Royalton Players productions "Out of Sight Out of<EM> </EM>Murder" and "Jake's Women," portrays Big Mama. </FONT></FONT><BR>

<FONT face=Arial size=3>Also in the production are <STRONG>Mike Yonkura</STRONG>, as the neglected and older brother Gooper; <STRONG>Kathy Vasko </STRONG>as Gooper's controlling wife, Mae; <STRONG>Tom Vasko </STRONG>as Doc Baugh; <STRONG>Willie Brown </STRONG>as Reverend Tooker; and <STRONG>Elisse Sheha </STRONG>as Lacey the servant. The children in the production are <STRONG>Jessica Grasso, Christine Bolton, Alex Bolton and Emma Mitchem</STRONG>. </FONT><BR>

<FONT face=Arial size=3>Assistant director is <STRONG>Nancy Marusek</STRONG>. In addition to portraying Reverend Tooker, Brown will also serve as stage manager for the production. <STRONG>Nancy Settle </STRONG>is production assistant and <STRONG>Alexis Mitchem </STRONG>is assistant stage manager. Technical director for the play is <STRONG>Jim Carrick</STRONG>. Several of the set pieces, including the balcony and doorway, were constructed by <STRONG>Joe Marusek</STRONG>. </FONT><BR>
