June 12, 2009) – Main Street Medina today announced that they have met
their goal of 100 members supporting the program. Named an official <st1:Street
w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Ohio Main Street</st1:address></st1:Street>
program in December of 2007, the dedicated group of over 25 volunteers have
spent the last 18 months promoting the nine-block historic district as the
heart of the community. <st1:address w:st="on"><st1:Street w:st="on">Main
Street</st1:Street> <st1:City w:st="on">Medina</st1:City></st1:address>
achieved critical success within its first year by becoming a nationally
accredited Main Street Program as noted by Heritage <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:State
w:st="on">Ohio</st1:State></st1:place>. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

chairperson, Pam Miller noted “We’re very pleased that the business

success of the 3<sup>rd</sup> Annual Chalk Art Festival that attracted over
3,500 people to the Square on May 30<sup>th</sup>, 2009. They are also planning
the first Medina Cultural Heritage Day, set for August 29, 2009, and were able
to secure major sponsorship by The Cleveland Clinic and <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName
w:st="on">Medina General</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Hospital</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>.
Planning will soon begin for the Silver Anniversary, 25<sup>th</sup> Annual
Candlelight Walk. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
