audition process. Emphasis in this class will be placed on selecting
and performing monologues, cold-reading technique, what to do in a call-back and
more. A presentation of student work will be held at the end of
camp. Special exceptions may be made for younger students with the

focus on the understanding of creating a character -- creating a physical
life, voices, understanding given circumstances in the world of the play and
understanding how your character is different from you. Students will discover
many ways a character can behave, think, feel, experience things and express
themselves differently than the actor. Students will have the opportunity to
apply these skills through scene work, which will be presented on the final

had some theatrical experience. Students will perform, produce and design a
full production of Twelve Angry Jurors at the Paul A. Daum Theatre of The
University of Akron. Performances will be held on August 7 & 8 at 7:00
p.m. Space is limited to 12 actors and 4 technical positions.
