<DIV><BR><FONT color=#cc0000 size=3><FONT color=#000000>Rosanne Cash is an American singer-songwriter and author.   She is the eldest daughter of the late country music singer Johnny Cash and his first wife, Vivian Liberto Cash Distin.<BR>Although she is most often classified as a country artist, her music draws on many genres, including folk, pop, rock and blues. In the 1980s, she had a string of chart-topping singles, which crossed musical genres and landed on both C&W and Top 100 charts, the most commercially successful being her 1981 breakthrough hit "Seven Year Ache," which topped the U.S. country singles charts and reached the Top 30 on the U.S. pop singles charts. In 1990, with the release of Interiors, Cash's music became more personal and her music's sound more stripped down. In 1991 Cash ended her marriage to producer/songwriter Rodney Crowell, and moved from Nashville to New York City, where she continues to write, record

<DIV><BR><FONT size=3><FONT color=#003399>Mountain Heart won the Emerging Artist award from the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) in 1999, but its members had already been playing professionally for many years.<BR>Guitarist Steve Gulley paid his dues at Kentucky's historic Renfro Valley before he joined Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver. A former member of IIIrd Tyme Out, Barry Abernathy spent five years playing in Quicksilver as well. Near the end of the 1990s, Gulley and Abernathy decided to form their own bluegrass band, along with a fellow Quicksilver member, then-teenage fiddler Jim Van Cleve. Mandolin master Adam Steffey, an alum of Alison Krauss & Union Station, and bassist Johnny Dowdle also joined, but in time both musicians left the band.<BR>Mountain Heart issued two albums on Doobie Shea Records, including The Journey, which won an IBMA award in the gospel recorded performance category. Steffey returned to the fold in 2002,

 with Jason Moore taking over as bassist and Clay Jones coming on board as a guitarist. In addition, Steffey won IBMA awards for mandolin player in 2002 and 2003.<BR>The band released the album No Other Way on Skaggs Family Records in 2002, with Force of Nature following in 2004. Both albums were produced by Ricky Skaggs.<BR></FONT></FONT></DIV>

 John Glascock (later of Jethro Tull). In August 1965, Taylor deputized for absentee Eric Clapton in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, and joined the band on a permanent basis from June 1967. He was the longest-serving of Mayall's guitarists by the time he left to join the Rolling Stones in 1969, as a replacement for Brian Jones. Taylor had minimal involvement with the band's Let It Bleed, but his controlled and tasteful blues playing brought a rare lyricism to their early 70s releases. He left the Stones in December 1974, working initially with Jack Bruce and Carla Bley, and appearing on two albums by jazz-rockers Gong. The well-received Mick Taylor put him back in the limelight temporarily. He spent much of the early 80s as part of Bob Dylan's band, appearing on three albums and touring with the singer in 1984. Stranger In This Town met with little success, and Taylor subsequently joined informal band the Bluesmasters (with Junior Wells and Steve Jordan) on

 Win Or Lose (1991), the debut release by American Brian Kramer. Taylor was reunited with John Mayall, guesting on his excellent Wake Up Call in 1993. During the latter part of the decade he worked with guitarist Snowy White.<BR>The brilliant slide guitarist whose career has included The Rolling Stones / Bob Dylan / John Mayall's Blues Breakers is one of the most underrated guitarists in the world, but with a cracking new band he's about to put that right.<BR>
