The Dark Room is a place where the writers take center stage and their work has
a chance to grow. The Dark Room is a co-production of CPT and The Cleveland
Theatre Collective and is an ongoing event held on the second Tuesday of each
month.<br>

In addition to Open Mic readings, participants can hear <b><i>Men Don't Cry</i></b>,
a 20 minute choreopoem based on the lives of five men of color written by
Stephen Hood.<br>

ABOUT <i>MEN DON'T CRY</i>: Come journey with these five men from childhood
through adulthood; through trials, surviving life's drama, successes and
identity failures. Discover manhood and the wisdom that follows through death,
spirituality and growth. Five men share their deepest secrets of discovery and
what the future holds.<br>

The Dark Room is a co-production of CPT and The Cleveland Theatre Collective
and affords emerging and veteran playwrights the space and resources to develop
new works. It offers a venue to workshop plays, novels, poems, or any other
written work in a supportive, yet critical environment.</span><span
