Ken Ludwig Getting Ready for October 16 Opening</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV align=left> <STRONG><FONT size=4>In one week, Ken Ludwig’s raucous
comedy, <EM>Moon Over Buffalo,</EM> which is a Samuel French production,
will be performed by the Canal Fulton Players. The play will be
presented on October 16-18 and 23-25, 2009 at the United Methodist Church
of Canal Fulton, 363 West Cherry Street, Canal Fulton, Ohio. The play
deals with an aging traveling repertory company in 1953, led by two fading
Broadway flash in the pans, George and Charlotte Hay. Things have gotten
so bad for the troupe that George and Charlotte are on the verge of a marital
breakup. This breakup started when their daughter, Rosalind, left the
company to pursue a career in advertising. Complicating matters are no
money, Hollywood's reluctance to cast two aging Broadway stars in a blockbuster
movie, and a supporting actress who discovers that she has a real bad personal
problem. What happens next as they realize that there is light at
the end of the tunnel which has numerous twists, turns and obstacles will have
you laughing hysterically. Just remember- Frank
Capra.</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV align=left><STRONG><FONT size=4> Starring in the
lead roles of Charlotte and George Hay are Kathy Devus and Mike Daniel.
Kathy previously played the part of Rosalind in the play in 1998 at the North
Canton Playhouse while Mike played George in 2000 at the Carnation
Players. They are complemented by Jon Neumann as Paul, the rather nervous
and love struck business agent for the acting troupe, and Lisa Van Gaasbeek as
Rosalind Hay, George and Charlotte’s estranged daughter who has fled the theatre
to pursue a career in advertising. Rosalind’s fiancé, Howard, the
consummate nerd and a television weatherman by trade, is played by newcomer
Nathan Sickman. Just remember that it all involves barometric
pressure.</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV align=left><STRONG><FONT size=4> Ethel, Charlotte’s
mother and the troupe‘s jack of all trades, is played by Linda Ryan while
Richard Maynard, the acting troupe’s lawyer, is played by Bill Brown.
Rounding out the cast is Eileen, the young actress who causes a great deal of
headaches, who is played by Sarah Price. </FONT></STRONG></DIV>
<DIV align=left><STRONG><FONT size=4> The play will be
presented on October 16-17 and 23-24 at 8:00 pm. It will be presented on
October 18 and 25 at 7:00 pm. Admission is $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for
seniors and children under the age of 12. There will be a dinner theatre
on October 24 and the cost is $17.00 for adults and $15.00 for seniors and
children under the age of 12. There are already thirty two reservations
and there are 100 seats. The dinner consists of cranberry chicken,
mashed potatoes, candied carrots, crunchy cole slaw, dessert and beverage.
Please call David Van Gaasbeek if you wish to make a reservation for October
