tale of a pesky poltergeist that packs in plenty of fun. The story centers on
the spectral reappearance of Elvira, the long-dead first wife of Charles, who is
now happily remarried to Ruth.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>When
Charles and Ruth plan an amusing evening seance with friends, they invite the
eccentric Madame Arcati who brings Elvira back from the great beyond. Elvira is
determined to wreak marital havoc and resume her rightful place in Charles'

successes, “Blithe Spirit” provides a feel-good evening in which audiences can
sit back and relax, knowing they’re seeing a truly funny play by one of
America’s best stage writers.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</SPAN>Coward wrote “</SPAN>Blithe Spirit” during a stay at Portmeirion in 1941,
after his London office and apartment had been destroyed in the Blitz. Feeling
that the public would want something amusing and escapist during the dark days
of the war, it took him only 7 days to write the hilarious script which proved a
hit with the public. It was performed nearly 2000 times during it’s first
run.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>In 1954, Coward adapted the
play to be filmed. </FONT></FONT></P>

“Dr. Bradman,” Valerie Compton as “Mrs. Bradman,” Velleda Knox<SPAN
