<P><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">This course is designed for</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">serious experienced</FONT></B><B><U> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">adult</FONT></U><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> acting students who want to pursue a career as a professional actor</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">. Students will learn how to choose appropriate monologues and leave the class with three strong audition pieces: a contemporary, comedic, and classical monologue. Students will be trained in how to master both cold and prepared readings as well as learn the ins and outs of the New York and Los Angeles casting industries. The course will culminate in students receiving feedback on their audition pieces from Artistic Director Michael Bloom and Talent Agent Doug Snyder from the Talent Group. </FONT></P>
<P><B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">The Class will be taught by JASON KAUFMAN</FONT></B>
</P>
<P><B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">JASON KAUFMAN</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> has performed in many stage productions both in NYC, regionally and internationally. He appeared as Yasha in the Cherry Orchard at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, the last production to be performed on the Adams Memorial Stage. He has worked at ART, Primary Stages and Playwrights Horizons in NYC. He has had the honor to work with directors Robert Woodruff, Andrei Serban, Anne Bogart, Karin Coonrod, Michael Grief and others. His television and film credits include guest appearances on “Dexter,” “Without a Trace,” “The Unit,” “CSI: Miami” and in the films<I> Fantastic Four</I> and<I> Hoodwinked</I>. He is currently directing a workshop of Sarah Kane's<I> 4:48 psychosis</I> and will shortly direct two short films he wrote for a Cleveland-based production company. He has taught courses in both Michael Chekov and Meisner techniques and served as an acting coach for film and television. Clients including Edi Gathegi (<I>Twilight, House, Death Sentence</I>), Jeff Branson (“Guiding Light,” “All My Children”), Chris Messina (<I>Jules and Julia, Vicky Cristina Barcelona</I>), Tara Sands (<I>Fridays</I>) and more. Jason has trained at the Moscow Art Theatre and earned an MFA from the Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University</FONT><U></U><U><B></B></U></P>
