</B></SPAN></FONT></FONT><B><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'>Sweeney Todd/Benjamin Barker</SPAN></B><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'> (bass-baritone): <I>Protagonist. Morose and brooding, a barber by profession. Returned to London after 15 years of unjust incarceration in an Australian penal colony to seek revenge first on the corrupt judge who sent him there, and then simply on whomever proves unfortunate to end up in his shop.<BR>
</I><B>Mrs. Nellie Lovett</B> (alto): <I>A cheery and chatty but wholly amoral shopkeeper whose premises and pies are coated in dust and plagued by flies. Would like to be more than merely a landlady to Mr. Todd.<BR>
</I><B>Anthony Hope</B> (baritone/tenor): <I>A young, naïve sailor befriended by Todd on the voyage home.<BR>
</I><B>Johanna Barker</B> (soprano): <I>A beautiful, young girl, Todd’s daughter, but now claimed by Judge Turpin as his own ward.<BR>
</I><B>Tobias Ragg</B> (tenor): <I>A simple young lad who works first for Pirelli, then for Mrs. Lovett. Never trusts Todd.<BR>
</I><B>Judge Turpin</B> (bass): <I>Antagonist. A corrupt and depraved official. An upholder of justice who twists the system to serve his own ends.<BR>
</I><B>Beadle Bamford</B> (tenor): <I>Turpin’s right-hand man and accomplice to his crimes.<BR>
</I><B>Beggar Woman</B> (soprano): <I> A mad crone with a filthy tongue whose cries go unheeded.<BR>
</I><B>Adolfo Pirelli/Danny O’Higgins</B> (tenor): <I>A faux-Italian (truly of Irish descent) and flashy barber who attempts to blackmail Todd. As a youngster, worked for Todd for a brief period.<BR>
</I><B>Ensemble members<BR>

</B><I>Cain Park is committed to non-traditional casting. Actors will be cast solely on the basis of talent, except in cases where age, race or physical ability are essential to a role.<BR>

</B></SPAN></FONT><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'>1. 16 years of age and older.<BR>
2<B>. </B>Memorize/prepare 2 short, standard musical theater songs. NO POP SONGS. <BR>
3. Bring sheet music in the proper key (accompanist is provided). NO TAPED MUSIC ALLOWED. Please note...you will not be allowed to audition without sheet music. <BR>
4. Bring your current resume and a current photo which will be retained by Cain Park. <BR>
5. Check your calendar for any conflicts before auditioning (see performance dates and rehearsal dates above).<BR>

</B></SPAN></FONT><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'>There are salaried AEA contracts available. All Non-Equity actors appear in Cain Park productions on a volunteer basis.
