w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Cleveland</st1:City>, <st1:State
w:st="on">OH</st1:State></st1:place> where she first began her training in dance
studying ballet throughout her secondary education. She graduated from
<st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Tennessee</st1:PlaceName>
<st1:PlaceType w:st="on">State</st1:PlaceType> <st1:PlaceType
w:st="on">University</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> with a minor in Dance in which
she studied a variety of dance areas. During her college years and thereafter
graduating from college, she intensely studied the Russian classical technique
with Marguarite Duncan of the North Coast Ballet Theater.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>
<P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoBodyText><st1:country-region
w:st="on"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">Kenya</SPAN></st1:country-region><SPAN
style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt"> has been on staff as a dance instructor at the
<st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Cleveland</st1:PlaceName>
<st1:PlaceType w:st="on">School</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> of the Arts (CSA),
where she recently served as guest teacher and choreographer. There, she was
able to prepare young dancers for a successful dance career and also work
closely with members of different dance companies which included the Martha
Graham, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, and Pilobolus.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoBodyText
align=center><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">She has since relocated to <st1:State
w:st="on">New York</st1:State> and has trained at <st1:PlaceName
w:st="on">Alvin</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Ailey</st1:PlaceName>
<st1:PlaceName w:st="on">American</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName
w:st="on">Dance</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Center</st1:PlaceType>,
<st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Broadway</st1:PlaceName>
<st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Dance</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType
w:st="on">Center</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> and Steps on Broadway. She has
danced with Ballet Highlights and Alpha Omega Theatrical Dance Company and has
also toured and given workshop classes for Eiffman Ballet through <st1:place
w:st="on"><st1:PlaceType w:st="on">City</st1:PlaceType> <st1:PlaceType
w:st="on">Center</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> and Pilobolus. She has been the
featured dancer for works created by Antolino Alvarez (jazz) and Brian Brooks of
Donald Byrd -The Group in the Santa Fe Summer Dance Festival (SSDF). Her musical
theater experiences include Peter Pan, A Chorus Line, Little Shop of Horrors,
Once on This Island, and Evita.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>
<P style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoBodyText
align=center><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt">Currently a new mother,
<st1:country-region w:st="on">Kenya</st1:country-region> continues to teach
workshop classes in various studios in <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place
w:st="on">New York</st1:place></st1:State>’s tri-state area as well as creating
innovative dance movement. She now continues her studies in the Simonson
technique at Dancespace which she considers her “dance home”.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>In Addition to dancing and
teaching, <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place
w:st="on">Kenya</st1:place></st1:country-region> also uses her training to help
her as a sports and fitness model. She has booked national commercials and can
be seen in magazines such as Sports Illustrated Women, Dance Spirit, Essence,
Heart-N-Soul, and Fitness Magazine.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>
