STORY:</b> The rare instance of a musical thriller, Stephen Sondheim and Hugh
Wheeler’s chilling, suspenseful, heart-pounding masterpiece of murderous
barber-ism and culinary crime tells the infamous tale of the unjustly exiled
barber who returns to 19th century London seeking revenge against the lecherous
judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. His thirst for blood soon
expands to include his unfortunate customers, and the resourceful proprietress
of the pie shop downstairs soon has the people of London lining up in droves
with her mysterious new meat pie recipe!<br>
Sophisticated, macabre, visceral and uncompromising, “Sweeney Todd”
nevertheless has a great sense of fun, mixing intense drama with howlingly
funny moments of dark humor: audiences find themselves laughing hysterically
one moment and gasping in surprise the next.<br>

numbers include <i>I'm the Greatest Star, I Want to Be Seen with You Tonight,
Don't Rain On My Parade, People, The Music That Makes Me Dance, Who Are You
Now?</i> and <i>You Are Woman, I Am Man</i>. As talented as she was, she
deserved to be loved by everyone; audience and husband alike.</span> <span style="">FUNNY GIRL played for 1,348
performances on Broadway at the Winter Garden, Majestic, and Broadway Theatres

beautiful airline hostesses with frequent "layovers". He keeps
"one up, one down and one pending" until unexpected schedule changes
bring all three to Paris and Bernard's apartment at the same time.</span></p>

STORY:</b> "I'm going to tell you a secret—and I don't want you to tell.
The secret is about me—about my life—how it will never be the same again."
In this honest and unflinching dramatization of teen-girl angst, a window is
opened into the tumultuous and destructive world of girls' bullying. Abby seeks
to gain acceptance as the newest member of the school championship volleyball
team. As she and her teammates struggle to find a friend, a place in the group
and themselves, their jockeying for position is sometimes humorous and often
heartbreaking. Invitations are extended or withheld, individual friendships
sacrificed to collective judgments, and alliances formed and changed daily as
they careen from exclusion to isolation to acceptance and back again. Bullying
in the form of gossiping, keeping secrets, using friendship as a weapon,
name-calling, exclusion, spreading rumors, backbiting, clinging to cliques and
manipulation become a prelude to dangerous behaviors such as depression,
cutting, eating disorders, and premature sexuality. Based upon interviews with
girls on the giving and receiving end of bullying, the play highlights the
impact of "cyber bullying," the facilitation of mean-spirited
behaviors through the use of cell phones, text and instant messaging, e-mail
and chat rooms. </span></p>

young girl who comes to the U.S. to find the father she never knew. Together
these stories create a show that is both touching and inspiring, drawing the
audience into a live theater experience to remember. After twenty-seven
previews, the Broadway production, directed by Jeff Calhoun, opened on October
21, 2004 at the Plymouth Theatre (renamed the Gerald Schoenfeld in May 2005),
where it ran for 284 performances. The cast included Eden Espinosa as Brooklyn,
Tony Award Winner (West Side Story), Karen Olivo as Faith, Kevin Anderson as
Taylor, Ramona Keller as Paradice, and Cleavant Derricks as a street singer who
acts as the narrator. Don’t miss the community theatre premiere of this
