exciting new work will come to CPT fresh from its off-Broadway run. <i>The Book
of Grace</i> is a multi-layered story of race, terrorism, borders, family, and
the consequences of history. African-American veteran of the Iraq war, Buddy
arrives to meet his estranged father, Vet, a white vet of desert storm and
border patrolman. Their encounter hints of dark secrets and when Vet’s
oppressed wife Grace enters the picture things get more complicated. Buddy asks
Vet for a job on the patrol and Grace wants to share her deepest hopes for
humanity. Vet prepares to receive a special accommodation for arresting criminals
crossing the border, but Buddy has plans for vengeance. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
