With the $5 admission charge, audience members are invited and encouraged to get onstage and share their poetic works; sign up for the open mic on Friday, July 30 at the Alma Theater beginning at 6:30pm.<BR>

This spectacular night will conclude with a performance by Youth Speaks Grand Slam Poetry Champion George Watsky.  A San Francisco native and Emerson University student, Watsky has been featured on HBO's Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry and has played such notable venues as Harlem's legendary Apollo Theater, and The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.  He has shared the stage with Beyonce Knowles, Stevie Wonder, Bonnie Raitt, Mos Def, Blackalicious, Talib Kweli and Matisyahu, among others!<BR>
