<P><FONT FACE="Arial">The Expect Respect Teen Outreach program (a program of Jewish Family Service Association (JFSA)) has a position opening for Director of the Expect Respect Play. We are looking for an individual who understands and works well with teens, who wishes to broaden his/her directing experience with issue oriented theater.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT FACE="Arial">Expect Respect is a 40 minute educational theater production which illustrates abusive teen relationships in contrast with healthy relationships on both a peer-to-peer and dating level. It will be presented to high school students and youth groups in the context of discussions about violence among young people. The play is part of a presentation we provide for teens, parents and adults who work with teens in order to help the audience understand and address dating violence and bullying behavior among adolescents.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT FACE="Arial">This is a yearly contracted appointment and the director will receive a stipend.</FONT>

<P><U><FONT FACE="Arial">Main Duties of the Director:</FONT></U>
<UL>
<OL TYPE=1>
<LI><FONT FACE="Arial">Direct the play “Expect Respect” and revise the script as necessary</FONT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"></FONT> </LI>
<LI><FONT FACE="Arial">Audition and select students for this play in the spring</FONT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"></FONT> </LI>
<LI><FONT FACE="Arial">Hold rehearsals/trainings for Expect Respect in the summer</FONT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"></FONT> </LI>
<LI><FONT FACE="Arial">Conduct monthly rehearsals and other rehearsals as needed during the academic year.</FONT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"></FONT> </LI>
<LI><FONT FACE="Arial">Work together with the Teen Outreach Educator to add/change the content and design of trainings and presentations.</FONT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> </FONT></LI>

<P><U><FONT FACE="Arial">Hours:</FONT></U><FONT FACE="Arial"> </FONT>
<BR><FONT FACE="Arial">Approximately 10 per week from June - August</FONT>
<BR><FONT FACE="Arial">Approximately 5 per week from September - May</FONT>

<BR><U><FONT FACE="Arial">Preferred Qualifications:</FONT></U>
</P>
<P><FONT COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial">Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional theatre experience.</FONT>
<BR><FONT COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial">Directing experience and knowledge of playwriting to the extent of script revision.</FONT>
