will be open-call auditions, meaning you can arrive at any time during the
following audition blocks:<BR><BR>Grades 1-6: 5:15-7:00pm<BR>Grades
7-12: 7:00-8:30pm<BR><BR></FONT><FONT size=4><EM><FONT size=3>** Please
note: We ask that no one arrives later than 8 PM to ensure that we
can wrap things up by 8:30 PM**</FONT><BR></EM><BR>Callbacks (by invitation
only) will be held on Thursday 10/14 at Wiley Middle School. </FONT><FONT
size=3><BR><BR>Everyone is asked to prepare 32-measures (about 1 min) of a
contemporary musical theater song (you may sing from "Joseph" if you
prefer). PLEASE no pop/rock. You need to provide clearly marked
sheet music in the correct key. There will be an accompanist
provided. NO acapella auditions please. If we are running short on
time, you may only be asked to sing 16-measures. <BR><BR>Please wear
comfortable clothing as you may be asked to stay and dance. When you
arrive, please provide a resume (if available) and a recent photo or headshot
(this will not be returned to you). <BR><BR>"Joseph" is a rock-opera,
which means that it is sung all the way through. Therefore we are looking
for EXCEPTIONAL actor/singer/dancers. </FONT></FONT></FONT></FONT></DIV>

size=3></FONT></FONT></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2><FONT face=Calibri><FONT size=3>Here is a breakdown
of the characters:<BR><BR>JOSEPH -- Charismatic, naive, and
semi-out-spoken; He's a dreamer who knows his life is destined for
something great; Faces all new challenges with courage and faith; Pop/Rock
bari-tenor<BR><BR>NARRATOR -- Tells the story directly to the audience while
interacting with the other actors; She is playing the role of Sunday
School Teacher in this production of "Joseph"; Must have a VERY strong
mix/belt voice and a magnetic personality. <BR><BR>PHARAOH / LEVI -- The
ruler of Egypt; Promotes Joseph to be his right-hand man; An Elvis
impersonator -- larger than life personality. <BR><BR>JACOB -- Joseph's
father; PLEASE NOTE: This role will most likely be played by an
adult guest-artist, although this isn't set in stone yet.<BR><BR>POTIPHAR -- A
wealthy Egyptian tycoon who buys Joseph as a slave; A dedicated man who is
a bit obsessed with material possessions and wealth; A baritone<BR><BR>MRS
POTIPHAR -- Potiphar's wife; A scheming woman who has a
wandering-eye; The woman responsible for Joseph being thrown into
jail; Must be a very strong dancer!<BR><BR>JOSEPH'S BROTHERS -- Reuben,
Simeon, Napthali, Issachar, Asher, Dan, Zebulon, Gad, Benjamin, Judah; A
group of "misfit" men who are very resentful of Joseph being Jacob's favorite
son; Several major solos will be pulled from this group including the
Butler and Baker.<BR><BR>THE WIVES -- Looking for a chorus of very strong
dancing/singing females. Altos and sopranos. <BR><BR>CHILDREN'S
CHORUS -- A group of Sunday School Students who are learning about the
Bible. To their surprise, the story comes to life and they become a part
of it!</FONT></FONT></FONT></DIV>
