Players are preparing to open their 66<sup>th</sup> season, Friday November 5,
with the laugh-packed comedy farce – <i>Moon Over Buffalo</i>, written by
Ken Ludwig - the author of the highly popular <i>Lend Me A Tenor</i>. In
addition to the great show, opening night audiences will be invited out after
the production to join the cast and crew for free appetizers and a cash bar at
one of Hudson’s local restaurants. In addition, Hudson’s Restaurant
On The Green has teamed with the Hudson Players once again to offer their
popular dinner and show packages throughout this 66th season (providing couples
the opportunity to get dinner for two and Hudson’s and two theater

to the Players, the Fox 8 Hot List, 2010 Theater Group of the Year, the play
offers an opportunity for those that just want to get out with friends and
laugh and see great local, live theater in a very light hearted fun filled

makes a farce out of the theater itself. Like <i>Lend Me a Tenor</i> or <i>Noises
Off</i> or the more modern movie <i>Waiting for Guffman</i>, <i>Moon Over
Buffalo</i> gets its laughs from the absolutely absurd antics that take place
when trying to put a live production up. </span></span><span style='font-size:

Ludwig's play, George and Charlotte Hay are stuck in the dreaded wastelands of Repertory
Theater, longing for Broadway and Hollywood. These two washed-up stars are
still dreaming of might-have-beens and trying to save their dying and quickly
going bankrupt company. They're currently marooned in Buffalo, New York--a
place the star-struck have nothing but disdain for. </span></span><span
style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'><br>

as they are about to hit rock bottom, they're told that Director Frank Capra is
coming to see their matinee as he's just lost his two starring actors in the
film he's working on. He's interested in casting George and Charlotte if their
performance is any good. </span></span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>This could be their last </span><span
class=rkr><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>great
break--except that </span></span><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:
"Arial","sans-serif"'>everything that could go wrong does go wrong, abetted by
a visit from their daughter’s clueless fiancé and hilarious uncertainty
about which play they’re actually performing, caused by Charlotte’s
deaf old stage-manager mother who hates every bone in George’s body.
Doors slam, identities are confused and hilarity ensues. It’s a fast
paced, raucous, comedy farce that promises laughs and good times.</span><span
