</i></b></span></span><span style="color:#141413">Fairmount
Center for the Arts theatre wing, The Fairmount Performing Arts Conservatory
(FPAC), produced the Ohio premiere of Linda Daugherty’s play <b><i>Eat
(It’s Not About Food)</i></b> during its recent 2009-2010 theater season.<br>
<br>
The play explores many aspects of disordered eating, with a particular focus on
one young woman’s journey as she struggles to overcome her illness. The play
offers a clear understanding of a complex and often silent disease, all within
the context of healthy eating, nutrition, cultural, peer and societal
paradigms, obesity and other areas that impact today’s youth.<br>
<br>
The play earned critical acclaim, and garnered coverage from media including
The Cleveland Plain Dealer, WCPN’s “Around Noon,” Your Teen Magazine and
others.<br>
<br>
<b><i>Eat</i></b>
is directed by Fred Sternfeld and features a cast of </span><span>14 actors who take on a myriad of
characters. Several casts are performing the tour. The pool of actors include
Sonya Bishop, Sean Cahill, Olivia Chan, Lauren Cole, Cara Corrigan, Nina
Domingue, Maryann Elder, Alexis Floyd, Joel Scott Furr, Jessie Gill, Sean
Grandillo, Natalie Green, Meghan Grover, Dan Hoy, Nick Koesters, Georgia
Kostyack, Jessica Kovalski, Doug Kusak, Kristi Little, Ashleigh Nagy, Courtney
Nelson, Amy Pawlukewicz, Jessie Pollak, Juliette Regnier, Jaime Rotsky,
CorLesia Smith, Li Stebner, Shambrion Treadwell, Luke Wehner, Dylan White,

<span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif">Fairmount Center is accepting tour dates from schools, colleges,
universities, community groups and organizations between November, 2010 and
May, 2011. <span style="color:#141413">It is the intent of the tour to provide
education, insight and awareness - changing perceptions to help prevent these
illnesses from emerging, help young people who are already struggling with an
eating disorder and help those who are on the verge a manifestation.<br>
<br>
</span>"We want to provide our audience the opportunity to be entertained,
stimulated, educated and connected to the critical topic of eating disorders
through our professional theatrical production,” said Jeff Grover, president of
Fairmount Center for the Arts.  “The
combination of the production and our extraordinary sponsors and professional
resources providing post-play discussions, will make a difference in many
