<P style="MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0in">A distinguished critic, while lecturing in a small Ohio town, falls on ice requiring a six-week convalescent stay at his host's home. The obnoxious and acid tongued critic takes over the household demanding an unending stream of whims. He commandeers the phone, and insists on managing everyone's life around him, including discouraging a romance between his faithful secretary and the local newspaper editor. Once he realizes he's gone too far, he's forced to reunite the lovers with more chicanery. All the while, an army of crazy friends and staff come and go with mixed reactions of townsfolk and the host family. </DIV>

<P style="MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0in">A BLT revival from 1946, this madcap romp by Kaufman & Hart is a takeoff on actual personalities and events of the 30’s. </DIV>
