The comedy, <em><strong>Inspecting Carol</strong></em>, written by Daniel J. Sullivan and directed by Brian Lee, opens Friday, December 10th and runs for two weekends through December 19, 2010. <br><br>In the "show within a show," everything that can go wrong WILL go wrong when a theater company struggles to perform <em>A Christmas Carol</em>. Things only go from bad to worse when a wannabee actor is mistaken as a seasoned performer.</font></p><p><font face="verdana,helvetica,sans-serif" size="1">"It's so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Why not make some time for some laughter?," asked Executive Director Mary Ruth Lynn. "It's a great show for families to enjoy together."</font></p><p><font face="verdana,helvetica,sans-serif" size="1">Directed by Brian Lee, <em>Inspecting Carol </em>features well-known valley actors Tom O'Donnell and Terry Shears and actresses Connie Cassidy and Molly Galano.</font></p><p><font face="verdana,helvetica,sans-serif" size="1">Don't wait to see the play. Tickets for recent shows have gone quickly. Plus, you won't want to miss an opening night reception, featuring a brass quartet entertaining guests playing Christmas Carols in the lobby.</font></p><p><font face="verdana,helvetica,sans-serif" size="1">For the second year in a row, The Youngstown Playhouse is partnering with the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley to help those in need this holiday season. The Playhouse will offer a $5 discount off the regular ticket price to see Inspecting Carol to anyone donating a new unwrapped toy or winter coat.</font></p><p><font face="verdana,helvetica,sans-serif" size="1">"The holidays are an enjoyable time for many, but we cannot forget those who are in need all year long," said Lynn.
