</I><B>DEENA JONES</B> (mezzo): <I>Young, thin and beautiful original member of the Dreamettes, later renamed Deena Jones and the Dreams.<BR>
</I><B>LORRELL ROBINSON</B> (soprano): <I>Original member of the Dreamettes, who has a difficult relationship with James.<BR>
</I><B>CURTIS TAYLOR, JR.</B> (tenor): <I>Used-car salesman, who becomes the Dreams’ manager. Marries Deena.<BR>
</I><B>JAMES “THUNDER”</B> <B>EARLY</B> (tenor): <I>Popular James Brown-like R&B star, who takes on the Dreamettes as his opening act..<BR>
</I><B>C. C. WHITE</B> (tenor): <I>Effie’s brother and aspiring songwriter. In love with Michelle.<BR>
</I><B>MICHELLE MORRIS</B> (high belt): <I>Effie’s replacement in Deena Jones and the Dreams.<BR>
</I><B>MARTY MADISON</B> (baritone): <I>James Early’s manager and veteran music agent.<BR>
</I><B>Ensemble members: </B><I>Must sing and dance well.<BR>
Cain Park is committed to non-traditional casting. Actors will be cast solely on the basis of talent, except in cases where age, race or physical ability are essential to a role.<BR>

</B></SPAN></FONT><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'>1. 18 years of age and older<BR>
2<B>. </B>Memorize/prepare 2 short songs in the style of DREAMGIRLS<BR>
3. Bring sheet music in the proper key (accompanist is provided). NO TAPED MUSIC ALLOWED. Please note...you will not be allowed to audition without sheet music. <BR>
4. Bring your current resume and a current photo which will be retained by Cain Park<BR>
5. Check your calendar for any conflicts before auditioning (see performance and rehearsal dates above)<BR>

</B></SPAN></FONT><B><FONT COLOR="#FF0000"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'>There are salaried AEA contracts available and EMC (Equity Membership Candidate) credit will be granted. </SPAN></FONT></B><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'> All Non-Equity actors appear in Cain Park productions on a volunteer basis.
