<P align=left> “<SPAN style="BORDER-BOTTOM: medium none; BACKGROUND: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; CURSOR: hand" id=lw_1298459391_3 class=yshortcuts>A Little Princess</SPAN>” takes place in the early 1900’s and tells a story of the extremely rich</P>
<P align=left>and the extremely poor in London. It shows how differently they were treated and how much</P>
<P align=left>they were segregated. Sara Crew was born in <SPAN id=lw_1298459391_4 class=yshortcuts>India</SPAN> to a very rich man named Ralph Crewe,</P>
<P align=left>her father and he is very close to his daughter, and he is upset when he has to send her away</P>
<P align=left>to a boarding school because at that time India wasn’t a safe place for children to live, the</P>
<P align=left>climate was terrible and there was a war going on. Since Sara was wealthy she was treated</P>
<P align=left>very well at the boarding school.</P>
<P align=left> </P>
<P align=left> When her father dies, she is told she has no money and is an orphan. Mrs. Minchin, the</P>
<P align=left>lady who owns the boarding school, wants to throw her out on the street but instead keeps</P>
<P align=left>her as a servant Sara is deprived of food and made to sleep in the rat infested attic. A new</P>
<P align=left>neighbor, who is very rich, moves next door with an Indian servant and everyone’s lives</P>
<P align=left>change drastically.</P>

<P align=left>Featuring musical underscoring and two songs, this is a perfect show for the entire family.</P>

<P align=left>Those who are auditioning for the role of Sara or the role of the Indian servant will be</P>
<P align=left>required to sing a short song without musical accompaniment preferably a lullaby.</P>

<P align=left>DANCERS: for the 2 solo’s – please wear appropriate clothes and shoes.</P>

<P align=left>There are 15 children parts: ages from 8– 18.</P>

<P align=left>There are seven men parts and 5 women parts. One child’s role is the spirit of the doll and</P>
<P align=left>dances ballet (en Pointe) the other dance part is a spirited polka by a Male/Female dancer.</P>

<P align=left>Boys part: 3-8 roles: 2 will operate the hand/rod puppets. There is movement and choral</P>
<P align=left>work of holiday tunes.</P>
