                snow showers here on the North Coast, Spring has
                officially sprung in Chagrin Falls! The musical comedy <i><a

                      Rotten Scoundrels</b></a></i> opened to rave
                reviews and big laughs, and there are still a few
                weekends left - get your tickets before they're gone!
                Also, the first of the <i><a

                      Who's Here</b></a></i> speaker series, featuring
                Amy Sancetta, completely sold out on March 2nd, so if
                you're planning to hear the talk from writer <a

                        sans-serif" size="2">Based on the popular 1988
                        comedy film starring Steve Martin and Michael
                        Caine, <i>Dirty Rotten Scoundrels</i> is a
                        musical about on two con men living on the
                        French Riviera; high-brow Lawrence Jameson (Rob
                        Albrecht) makes his lavish living by talking
                        rich ladies out of their money, while low-brow
                        Freddy Benson (Trey Gilpin) swindles women with
                        lies about his ill grandmother. After a chance
                        meeting, they unsuccessfully attempt to work
                        together only to find that the town isn't big
                        enough for the two of them. So they make a bet:
                        the first one to swindle $50,000 from a young
                        heiress (Heather Hersh) triumphs and the other
                        must leave town. What follows are a series of
                        musical schemes, masquerades and double-crosses
                        in which nothing may ever be exactly what it
                        seems! </font></p>

                        series of local speakers continues with
                        acclaimed author, columnist and lecturer Scott
                        Lax's presentation, "Translating Personal
                        Experience into Art." Scott has been a
                        contributing editor and columnist for "Cleveland
                        Magazine"; senior writer for "Northern Ohio
                        Live" magazine; front-page columnist for "The
                        Sun News", book reviewer for "The Cleveland
                        Plain Dealer", and has won numerous nonfiction
                        awards from the Ohio Professional Writers and
                        the Cleveland Press Club.</font></p>
                    <p><font color="#000000" face="Arial, Helvetica,
                        sans-serif" size="2">Scott </font><font
                        color="#000000" face="Arial, Helvetica,
                        sans-serif" size="2"> will read from and talk
                        about his novels, short stories, essays and
                        nonfiction memoir, and explain how he wove his
                        experiences, observations and imagination into
                        each of these writing genres. And he will
                        respond to speculation about his first novel's
                        relationship to the Village of Chagrin Falls, by
                        revealing previously unknown facts concerning
                        his 1970s-era novel "The Year That Trembled." He
                        will also provide a literary update regarding
                        which of the first novel's characters appear in
                        his latest novel, "Vengeance Follows," which is

                        Theatre Women's Committee will host a Welcome
                        Spring Tea Luncheon on Friday, April 8th at noon
                        in the theatre's River Room. For $15, guests
                        will be treated to tea sandwiches, a green
                        salad, scones, desserts, and an assortment of
                        teas. </font></p>

                        has been a volunteer support group for over 50
                        years. Through the decades, they have assisted
                        behind the scenes for productions, held fund
                        raisers, redecorated, refurbished and maintained
                        the theatre, hosted ‘talks’ with local
                        celebrities, and helped CVLT in other,
                        innumerable ways.</font></p>
                    <p><font color="#000000" face="Arial, Helvetica,
                        sans-serif" size="2">In recent years, they have
                        sponsored the successful Gingerbread Tea
                        Christmas show and raised funds through various
                        special events. They have served a Salad
                        Luncheon during Chagrin Home Tours, and have
                        assisted greatly with Murder by the Falls, and
                        Ghosts, Goblins and Gobbledygook at Halloween
                        time.</font></p>

                        sans-serif" size="2">Luncheon meetings are held
                        on the second Friday of the month at CVLT or at
                        a member’s home. The members and their guests
                        enjoy a catered meal in the River Room prior to

                        Dutch librarian discovers in the return slot a
                        book checked out in 1873 and only just returned.
                        His sense of library decorum outraged, the
                        librarian determines to find the party
                        responsible, and to collect the appropriate
                        fine. His quest takes him not only all over the
                        physical world, but on a journey of remarkable
                        spiritual discovery. A tale of seemingly petty
                        bureaucratic procedure becomes the stuff of
                        profound revelation about our relationship to
                        responsibility, fate, humanity, and God. Full of
                        both pathos and humor, Glen Berger's play both
                        entertains and illuminates.</font></p>

                        to her mother's, and has invited his best
                        friend, Robert, to provide an alibi. It is
                        foolproof. What could possibly go wrong? Suppose
                        Robert doesn't know why he has been invited?
                        Suppose Robert and Jacqueline are secret lovers?
                        What happens if the cook is mistaken for the
                        mistress and the mistress can't cook? Mix these
                        ingredients at high heat for an evening of

                          set some distance from France. British dialect
                          is essential but Suzette and her husband
                          George may be played as French; that has yet
                          to be determined. </font></li>

                          resumes are welcome, but not required. </font>
