its Fifty-fifth season with the comedy <b style=""><u>Be My Baby</u></b> by<u> </u><b style="">Ken
Ludwig</b>.<span style=""> </span>Following it’s tradition of
summer family musicals the theatre will present <b style=""><u>The 25<sup>th</sup> Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee</u></b> with
music and lyrics by William Finn and book by Rachel Sheinkin.<span style=""> </span>The fall mystery <b style=""><u>Panic</u></b> by Joseph Goodrich takes place in Paris,
France.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;">The theatre will also repeat its
popular <b style=""><u>Kids Night Out</u></b>
performance following its 2011 Youth Theatrical Classes.<u><span style="text-decoration: none;"> <br></span></u></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;"><b style=""><u>Be My Baby</u></b> directed by Jim Volkert with performances on <b style="">June 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, & 18</b> is a
comedy that Ken Ludwig wrote for Dixie Carter and Hal Holbrook for the Broadway
stage where it received rave reviews.<span style="">
</span>“Funny, filled with laughs and a whole lot of fun”, “Hilarious” said
Variety. <br></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;"><b style=""><u>The 25<sup>th</sup> Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee </u></b>directed
by Marc Howard plays <b style="">July 22,</b> <b style="">23, 29, 20 and Aug. 5, 6, 12, & 13 </b>is
the hilarious tale of overachievers’ angst, chronicles the experience of six
adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling bee championship of a
lifetime.<span style=""> </span>The show is renowned for its
audience participation in the onstage shenanigans. <br></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;"><b style=""><u>Panic</u></b> directed by Jan Futhey takes place in 1960s Paris as a
film director becomes friends with a critic who wants to be a director but
their futures are in jeopardy when a past relationship brings blackmail and
leads to murder.<span style=""> </span>Writer Joseph Goodrich
was awarded the Edgar Poe Mystery Award for Best New Play for Panic. <br></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;">All Friday and Saturday
performances are at 8:00 p.m. the
