size=2>Hack and Slash's Stage Combat Club covers the basics of stage
fighting and the critical elements of physical storytelling needed to really
"sell the fight" to an audience. Stage Combat is one of the most exciting and
beneficial study points of a play. This workshop focuses on basic combat and
physical storytelling techniques used in professional theatre. Learn to develop
the story of a fight on stage: How does a fight happen? How does it start? How
is a stage fight different than a real fight? How can actors keep the story of a
stage fight clear for the audience? How is a stage fight performed safely?
Students in class will present their work on August 25th with a final class
performance.
