Play synopsis: </B>It is Christmas in North Dublin. Mid-life Sharky Harkin, erstwhile fisherman/van driver/chauffeur, finds himself reluctantly hosting old friends at the dingy house that he shares with his brother who has recently gone blind. A lot of booze and card playing carry the men into Christmas Day, when Sharky must face the grim promise he made decades ago to one of these old friends.<BR>

<B>Characters: </B>5 men, late 40s – 60s<BR>
<BR>
<B>James “Sharky” Harkin,</B> erstwhile fisherman/van driver/chauffeur, 50s<BR>
<B>Richard Harkin,</B> his older brother, recently gone blind, late 50s/60s<BR>
<B>Ivan Curry,</B> old friend of the Harkins, late 40s<BR>
<B>Nicky Giblin,</B> a friend of Richard’s, late 40s/50s<BR>
<B>Mr. Lockhart,</B> an acquaintance of Nicky’s, 50s<BR>
<B> <BR>
Production dates: </B>December 1 – 18, 2011 (3-week run, Wed-Sun)<BR>

Audition:</B> Readings from the sides and will be emailed upon request. The play is available via the library. Full scripts are not available from Dobama.<BR>
